LakeView Cottage – Lake Sequoyah Views!

Book Now!!! We drove up from Florida for a family getaway in the mountains; a first for our family. This cozy, romantic mountain cottage is beautifully nestled on gorgeous, private property tucked away. It\'s much bigger than pictures and from the moment we pulled up, breathtaking entry with flowers blooming and a welcoming cozy front door bench. The home has a large, private Master suite on the first floor with so much room. I enjoyed the big comfortable bed, reading area & private patio where we sat and had a glass of wine in the evening, listening to the breeze and windchimes. Coffee on the second floor deck in the morning was breath taking, with early morning songs from variety of birds and beautiful lake view. The cozy fireplace was wonderful and the skylight & windows let in so much beautiful light. Views from the bedrooms were lovely. It felt like a home. Angie Brown gave us detailed & high recommendations for our hikes, places to see/eat, including areas appropriate for all members of our family. We brought our sheepdoodle and he enjoyed the home, exploring the blocks and areas as well. Everything was SUPER close! We hiked Whiteside Mountain and ate at the Whiteside Brewery... the burgers, salmon and sweet potato fries were amazing with a great outside grass for our pup. We stopped at Bridal Falls, walked down to Dry Falls and hiked Glen Falls.... breath taking views of water falls, mountain scapes and more. We shopped Highlands downtown shops and restaurants just 5 minutes.. adorable and quaint. Also, ensure you stop at Los Vasqueros for the best Mexican and we got serenaded by their mariachi band.. so much fun! Grocery store just a couple minutes around the corner ~ very convenient. I have to say, I did not want to leave. I could have spent another 2 days just being still in the beautiful, cozy, gorgeous cabin. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in Lakeview cottage for a week in early April. We enjoyed every moment of our stay! The cottage lives much larger than it seems upon first entering. Initially we were a little concerned about navigating the spiral staircase, but after a couple of times up and down, it was no big deal, and we’re in our 60s. We loved the fireplace and the convenience of simply clicking a button and having an instant fire. We also loved the location of the cottage, which is literally 3 to 5 minutes from downtown Highlands. It is completely equipped with everything that you would have in your own home. Staying in this cottage versus staying in a hotel made all the difference in the comfort and enjoyment of our vacation. The owners have obviously taken some time to make it feel cozy, clean and extremely livable. It was a wonderful and pleasurable experience to stay here. Anytime we visit Highlands this is where we will stay.

Other than those things our stay was great! We enjoyed the location, had plenty of room, had a pretty good view, close to downtown, and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We would recommend to someone else.
