Enjoy a peaceful vacation at our Tree House in the Smoky Mountains. 3-4 bedrooms with 3.5 baths await you less than 0.3 mile from Main Street in Highlands. Walk to and fish at catch-and-release Harris Lake or simply relax and feed the ducks and geese. A stroll brings you to all of the downtown shops in minutes. The house sleeps 10. The primary bedroom is on the main floor with a king-size bed and en suite bath. The loft has a queen bed in a private bedroom, with its own bathroom. The ground floor has a bedroom with two double beds and a Jack and Jill bath that is shared with an adjoining lower den that has two twin beds and a pull-out sofa.
The state-of-the-art kitchen is equipped with high-end Kitchen-Aid appliances. The kitchen has a breakfast bar with extra seating adjoining the dining area.
After a hard day of hiking or shopping relax in the outdoor hot tub on a balcony off the living room. Enjoy a glass of wine in front of a roaring fire during those cool evenings in Highlands.
Most of the time you don't need the AC but the house is fully air-conditioned

by Stephanie TWe loved our stay at this property. It had everything we needed and then some. We spent every night sitting by the outdoor fireplace. Check in/check out were so simple. The driveway was steep, as warned! But the walk to town was so convenient! We cannot wait to stay again!

Our family of six, including 4 adult children, gathered to celebrate a birthday and just loved the Treehouse!Cabin was so fun, and everyone was comfortable. Great location- we could walk to town. It’s well appointed and we had super communication from the hosts. They are not kidding when they say the driveway is steep, but we were able to get our toyota and honda up it without 4-wheel drive.

The homeowners were fantastic and communicated often to be sure all was going well and check-in/out was easy. We would definitely stay there again and Highlands is great with many in-town trails, nearby waterfalls, wonderful restaurants, music, farmers market and arts and craft fairs.

The Treehouse was just as presented on the VRBO site. The house was very comfortable and very well appointed by the owners. The owners warned us about the very steep driveway and they weren't kidding...but we managed ok. There was plenty of firewood for the large fireplace, which we made good use of, and the kitchen was better stocked than most rental properties we've stayed at. The owners were very helpful and made sure we were well taken care of. We would definitely recommend this house and if we ever return to Highlands we would absolutely consider staying there again. Thanks to the Sandlin family for letting us use their lovely home for our Christmas away from home.
