Red Rooster: Pet-Friendly Cottage in Mirror Lake w/ 2 Fire Pits & Fenced Yard

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days with our two dogs and had the best time! The house was beautiful, peaceful, and truly felt like a home away from home. It’s such a short distance from so many great activities—hiking trails, Main Street, and more—making the location perfect. The fenced-in yard was an enormous perk, and our dogs absolutely loved having the space to run and relax. The property management team was incredibly friendly and responsive, which made our stay even better. We are already planning to visit again and can’t recommend this place enough!

The Red Rooster Cottage was warm and inviting. We enjoyed sitting on the well appointed screened in porch and in the living area with music on the speakers. We enjoyed hanging out with our dogs in the large fenced in yard (it was too warm for a fire in the fire pit unfortunately). The master bed was really comfortable. And the kitchen had great supplies for cooking. I would love to visit again!

Loved the house and one of the most comfortable master beds we have ever enjoyed in a rental. If anything, and it's a small thing, the screen porch is not accessible from the house, which would have allowed easy backyard access for the dog without having to go out front and around in bad wrather. We had to walk him out the front door leashed, thru a gate and then let him loose. Not that much trouble but I couldn't tell that from the pictures. Overall probably one of the best put together houses we have enjoyed in that area!

Lovely mountain cabin with wonderful fenced in yard if you have dogs. The cabin was cozy and nicely decorated

The house is small and cozy with one bedroom and a large sleeping loft open to the downstairs. There is a bathroom on each level. The house is clearly someones second home and, as such, has everything you need even though it is a little worn and well-loved. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the fenced in yard was much appreciated by our pup. The location is excellent with only a couple of minutes into Highlands.  We would stay again!

This home was ideal for our small family of three. We enjoyed the comfortable layout of the home including the nice wood burning fireplace which we used nightly. 100% would stay here again.

The Red Rooster is the most adorable cottage ever! We had so much fun and cant wait to come back again very soon! The cottage was so clean and had everything we needed! We hiked all over Highlands, played games in the yard, and fished in Mirror Lake.  Thank you for sharing your home!  Wonderful communication!

We stayed at the Red Rooster cabin last fall and it was a wonderful break from our normal routine. We came up a few days before the Clemson/Carolina game and enjoyed great weather, good food, good hikes and a truly relaxing time in the cottage. It is convenient to town and there are so many special places to visit nearby. The cabin is well stocked and the surroundings are quiet and peaceful. We'll be back!!!
