Parrish Hill – Walk to Main Street!

My husband and I came in town for a wedding and our anniversary and stayed here at Parrish Hill. We don’t have one complaint. We felt like we were at home and could walk to everything. We will definitely be bringing our children back next time we come!

Great place to stay. Cozy house secluded in the woods on the edge of town. Very clean well furnished place. Very inviting from the moment we walked in. They had music playing and lamps on to welcome you. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait until we can return to Highlands to stay there again. 

The house was wonderful! Perfect locationSO close to the action, but feels like youre off the grid. I loved how personal it felt, and the decorations befitting a mountain retreat. And a happy surprise.the towel warmers in the bathrooms! Plus we spotted a bear on our final night!! 10/10 would recommend!

The house had such charm! All the furnishings were top quality and there were some beautiful antiques. It felt more like someone's home than a generic rental. The linens and towels were also top quality and more than we needed. The kitchen was well equipped with every gadget and tool available. Plenty of dishes, serving pieces and wine glasses of every size and shape. There were games and books available and the televisions were easy to operate! The firepit area was amazing! It felt very secluded and quiet even though it was only a few blocks from town. It was perfect!The team was very responsive to texts and calls. We had a short power outage and they checked on it and got right back to us. They offered to bring flashlights or candles since none were available in the rental, but we brought our own from home. The outage only lasted about an hour and it was during daylight hours so it was not too concerning. We also had an issue with the fireplace igniter and they sent someone out immediately. It was just needed a new battery. We loved the fireplace!

The house was perfect for our family. Fantastic.

We had a great time … great location, loved the fireplace, fire pit, owners had the house all set for us like they were welcoming us Home - very hospitable.

Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. Process was very straightforward and exactly as advertised.

Weve been coming to Highlands for over 20 years. Parrish Hill was perfect!Everything was seamless. From check-in instructions to check-out. Great.

Family trip for Baptism. We came to Highlands for our Godson's Baptism and this property was absolutely perfect! I have 2 small kids (18 mo and 3) and they loved it! I was cozy and clean and so close to Main St. We'll be back!

My family thoroughly enjoyed the home, and we will definitely be back!  My wife and I and our two sons who are 16 and 18 stayed there for the weekend before Thanksgiving. The accommodations were wonderful! The house was extremely clean and well stocked with all the essentials. The beds were very comfortable fitted with luxurious bedding.The indoor gas fire logs were much enjoyed as was the outdoor fire ring. The cottage is within easy walking distance to any place you would wish to visit downtown, but the landscaping around the house made it feel very private. Highlands vacation rentals was very quick to respond to our request to rent. They were also excellent at communicating how we were to check in and what was expected at check out.  We would happily refer friends and family there.

Everything was as advertised - adorable cabin and great location! Only a couple of things to note - the bedrooms were colder than the main living areas and it took awhile for the heat to warm them up, would recommend getting the heat going right away if it's chilly.  It was great and would come back again!

Such a charming cottage! Upon arrival, the string lights and the porch swing were so welcoming! The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. This was such a neat trip and the house made it memorable.

Perfect Cottage Close to Town. This cottage truly felt like "old Highlands" with beautiful original woodwork on walls, ceilings, and even doors. The beds were very cozy and the living room/dining area provided plenty of room to spread out. It's located on the Post Office end of town and easy to walk to the attractions on Main Street, though we usually drove because our kids are quite small. Would love to stay here again sometime!

Fantastic home in Highlands! We had an outstanding stay in Highlands at Parrish Hill!! The location was perfect. We were easily able to walk to Main Street and various other areas of town, but we felt like we were tucked away in our own private retreat. The lot itself is treed and private, but we were super close to everything we needed! We walked to the grocery store nearby, gas station, and to Main Street all very easily. We were here for Thanksgiving, and the home had everything we could possibly need (and more) to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner! We stayed here with another couple and their 2 year old. The space was ample for the 5 of us. We loved Highlands, NC, and when we come back, we definitely plan to stay at Parrish Hill again! We all agreed that it was everything we needed! It was clean and beautiful! There is a fire pit outside, as well, where we were able to make smores and sit around the fire in the evening. There is plenty of private space around the home for little ones to play outdoors! The beds in both bedrooms were super comfortable too!! We couldn't ask for more! Thanks for letting us stay at Parrish Hill!!
